Mental Health Champion training is now being hosted by the TALK Centre and TALK members can access this free training via the Hub.
The Mental Health Champion training has been designed to support any professional working with children and young people in Norfolk & Waveney. With evidence-based, research-led content that has been informed by children and young people living in the county, the training is completely free and is hosted online and in-person to ensure that it is accessible for all.
The aim of the training is to help professionals feel more confident in supporting CYP emotional wellbeing no matter their role. The training looks at having conversations about mental health, spotting signs and symptoms of mental ill health, and how a young persons development may affect their emotional wellbeing.
The training also helps participants to build a toolkit of strategies and signposting that they can use in their daily practice. Another key element of the training looks at the wide range of mental health services available in Norfolk & Waveney and helps professionals feel more confident in how to access them.
